What is Covered on VoyagerProtect's Terrorism Disruption Protection?

D1. Pre-trip cancellation due to security reasons:

Cover under this section is available up to the amount shown in the schedule of benefits should:

• the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) or appropriate authority recommend that the insured should not travel to their intended destination.
• the recognised government in the intended travel destination declare a state of emergency, formally recommend foreign nationals should leave the country or region, or expels them/declares them "persona non grata".
• the country the insured intends to visit is involved in a war (declared or not), a rebellion, revolution, insurrection or taking of power by the military, civil war/unrest or acts of terrorism that would put them in physical danger.
• A natural disaster in the intended travel destination that renders travel plans impossible or would put their life in physical danger.

D2. Trip Interruption due to an act of terrorism:

If an act of terror does take place, cover is provided under the following areas:

1. Travel Costs

• the cost of removing the insured person from their location by the most appropriate method of transport to a place of safety or to return to the insured persons country of domicile.

2. Accommodation Costs

• all reasonable costs incurred for accommodation and food following their removal from their location up to a maximum of £200 per day for 7 days.

3. Return Costs

• the reasonable costs of returning them to their original location following their removal from that location.
