New Manual Work Cover Available On VoyagerProtect

VoyagerProtect, as a business travel insurance policy, is by its very nature designed to cover people who travel for work or go on regular business trips abroad.
For non-manual occupations, such as consultancy or delivering a sales pitch to overseas clients, it’s no problem to find business travel cover. What can be more difficult for companies is finding business travel insurance that includes cover for manual professions. As such we have worked hard with our insurers to be able to provide cover for a wide variety of manual occupations, helping you to ensure that your employees are covered on an annual multi-trip basis when working abroad.

Normally manual work would be excluded under General Exclusion 14 of the VoyagerProtect Policy Wording, however for certain professions we can remove this limitation and provide cover, meaning those staff are covered, including for emergency medical expenses insurance, while working abroad.
This can either be applied to the whole travel policy, if the majority of staff are manual workers, or if you have a number of both white-collar and blue-collar workers, it is possible to provide you with 2 policies, one for each type of worker, with an endorsement to delete General Exclusion 14 on the policy for those doing manual work, which is likely to be more cost effective.
Before we can cover manual, blue-collar professions we will also need to know:
- Description of the business
- Description of the roles/duties of the blue-collar, manual workers who are travelling
- Destination country, and if the country is a high-risk area, the specific areas of travel
- Does the work involve any shift work i.e. 3 days on, 3 days off
